Our colleague had worked for France since 2002. Part of his family was able to leave Gaza for France, as part of the evacuation system put in place by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, in which was notably caught taking into account the French present in Gaza, the agents of the French Institute and their beneficiaries.

The Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs is in contact with the family of our colleague in France. He offers him all his condolences. This evening, we are all mourning him and we have a special thought for his colleagues at the Consulate General of France in Jerusalem.

France condemns this bombing of a residential building which caused the death of many other civilians.

We demand that all light be shed by the Israeli authorities on the circumstances of this bombing, as quickly as possible." Source: French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
